CANDLE CARE

 

Our candles come pre-trimmed, so no need to until after initial burn.  To trim our wooden wick candles, simply pinch off the burnt piece of wood and discard.

 

Allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the jar before extinguishing the candle. This will help to prevent tunneling, which is when the wax melts unevenly and leaves a ring of unmelted wax around the edge of the jar.

 

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

 

Always keep a burning candle within sight and within reach of an extinguisher.

 

Never burn a candle for more than four hours at a time. Doing so can overheat the wax and cause the candle to melt or even catch fire.

 

Keep candles away from flammable materials, such as curtains, furniture, and bedding.

 

Never burn a candle near children or pets.

 

Extinguish a candle if the wick starts to smoke or flicker.

 

Store candles in a cool, dry place when not in use.

 

 

REPURPOSE ALL OF OUR VESSELS

 

Remove the wick and any remaining wax. You can do this by using a spoon to scrape out the wax, or by placing the jar in the freezer for a few hours and then popping out the wax when it's frozen.

-OR-

Use a heat gun or a hair dryer to melt the remaining wax.

Wash the jar with soap and water. Be sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.

Dry the jar completely. You can use a hair dryer or a towel to do this.

 

IDEAS FOR REUSE:

 

METAL VESSELS: are a great way to store small items, such as paper clips, coins, or jewelry. They are also great for storing food items, such as mints/gum or candy.
